Troubleshoot: Device Not Connecting
Device Shows "Disconnected" or Won't Connect
1. WhatsApp is already linked to another device
WhatsApp allows one linked device session per number. If the number is already linked elsewhere, it must be logged out first.
On your phone: WhatsApp → Settings → Linked Devices → remove the old session.
2. QR code expired
QR codes refresh every ~30 seconds. If you see a stale QR, wait for it to refresh or click ↻ to reload the device list.
3. Session crashed after restart
If Nidaa restarted, devices reconnect automatically within 30 seconds. Refresh the page to check updated status.
4. Number banned or restricted by WhatsApp
If your number was recently used for mass sending, WhatsApp may have restricted it. Signs: QR scans but immediately disconnects.
- Rest the number for 24–48 hours.
- Use the Official Cloud API device type for high-volume use (more reliable).
5. Cloud API: webhook not verified
If you're using Cloud API and status shows "Disconnected":
- Check that the Callback URL in Meta matches what Nidaa showed.
- Check that the Verify Token matches.
- Ensure the messages webhook field is subscribed.
